The Einstein Prophecy

Masello crafts an imaginative story along the lines of “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, tying the Nazi’s fascination with the paranormal to the Allies’ protection of the world’s cherished relics. There is plenty of action, although some of it is a bit unbelievable. But when the story involves the paranormal, expect the unbelievable.
The good thing is, the story takes many tastefully foreshadowed plot turns. While reading, I had suspicions where it was going, but as often as not there was a surprise awaiting me. After getting into the heart of the story, it was easy to keep reading.
It was a good thing that I was reading on my Kindle Paperwhite because the author seems intent on expanding his readers’ vocabulary. I found myself looking up words all the time. Maybe it’s because I’m the curious type. There were times I felt the language impeded the flow of the story, but the words always made sense, once I knew them. On the Kindle, it’s really easy to check the dictionary, and it even has a feature to review the words retrieved.
Finally, the story is believable enough and set with sufficient historical truth to help shape the reader’s understanding of the times in which it was set.
