What gets lost in the pile of junk mail and email we all receive?
Did you know that some people read through all the junk?
I haven’t got time for it.
Sure, I scan the “preview” window to see if the first few words pique my interests, but rarely do I open the message.
A brief look at the snail mail envelope determines if it goes straight into the recycling hopper or onto a pile for further examination.
Unfortunately, every once-in-a-while something important gets lost, either discarded or deleted, and trouble ensues.
A service stops working.
Suddenly there is no access to an important website, or a late fee notice arrives.
Then, there is a mad scramble to figure out what went wrong. Calls to the provider of said service feel
like an obstacle course. “Please listen to our menu, the options have recently changed.”
Do you believe it?
“
Press 1 for blah, blah, blah”
Or use the voice response system. Yea, let’s try that:
“I want to talk to a person. Someone who can understand me, and who can help me.”
“I didn’t understand your request, please try a simple phrase, like ‘accounts’, ‘lost card’, or ‘traveling abroad’.”
“Talk to a representative.”
“I didn’t understand your request, please try a simple phrase, like ‘accounts’, ‘lost card’, or ‘traveling abroad’.”
“representative”
“I didn’t understand your request, please try a simple phrase, like ‘accounts’, ‘lost card’, or ‘traveling abroad’.”
