Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

Motivational, inspirational, spiritual, and historical… Another of my favorite books of the past few years. It is the story about Louie Zamperini, an Olympic runner, WW2 B24 bombardier, & Japanese prisoner of war who’s indomitable spirit carried him through unimaginable situations.
Hillenbrand does an excellent job taking us through Louie’s life, from childhood through old age, from the heights of his 1936 Olympic exploits to the depths of his PTSD induced alcoholism, in the process teaching us how the will to survive, overcome, and ultimately, to become relevant.
