Baseball fans, this is a no-brainer read. Anyone interested in the history of modern civil rights movement would also be advised to take a read.
As with so many of our heroes, the truth about Henry Aaron’s life is far more interesting than the legend of his baseball hitting prowess.
This book is one of those that is easy to read and hard to put down while you’re reading it. I learned a good deal about the world of baseball before free agency.
I also learned a good deal about the nascent civil rights movement through which Henry Aaron navigated.
